The new Canterbury synagogue in King Street, Canterbury was consecrated by Chief Rabbi Moses Montefiore, replacing the old one had been demolished to make way for Station Road West. It fell into disuse in 1911 and was bought by The Kings School in 1982 to serve as their music recital hall.
