Questioned by a police officer about his dog, Stephen Germaine of Ramsgate replied “I haven’t got a dog licence, I thought the wireless licence was for the dog as well.” Fined 10s, Mr Germaine had now taken out a licence for the black mongrel, a birthday pesent for his son.
