15 yr old John Stainer of St Thomas’ Hill, Canterbury lost his petrol driven model aircraft after it climbed 3,500ft and glided towards Margate. Happily, it was found by the groundsman at Sturry County Modern School, who returned it undamaged to John after its 5 mile flight.
