Veronica Davis of The Prince of Wales, Chatham and Mr A. Charles of the Royal Oak and Shades Hotel, Ramsgate tied for 3rd place in Britain’s first beer serving contest held in Preston, Lancashire. The eight finalists had to pour out a bottle of beer, draw a pint of draught beer, and serve both, together with a packet of cigarettes, to the judges.
