The X-ray machine room, at the Margate and District new General Hospital was gutted by fire.It was discovered by radiologist Dr CJ Heaton in the basement room, and caused damage of £1,300. Fortunately, the fire was contained, although the main entrance door and corridor were smoke damaged.
