In the Canterbury Car Club’s driving tests, Heather Parry driving an 850 Mini and Gerard Reynolds in a 997 Mini Cooper won the ladies’ and men’s trophies. The test included driving with a cup of water on the bonnet, driving blindfold through flags guided by a co-driver, and finally a 10 minute run through the city with former Kent police traffic inspector, John Rowden, for an ability assessment. The event raised funds for the Canterbur St John Ambulance Brigade.
