An angler plunged into the sea off Deal Pier after his wallet containing £18 had fallen from his pocket. Meanwhile, a crew of the motor boat Britannic managed to get to it first, and much to their disgust, were given a mere half crown to share between them. The angler refused to divulge his name and address, but stated ‘I come from Aberdeen.’
