Following recent trials of a Leyland on the Whitstable – Canterbury route, East Kent are now trialing a Foden. Seating 55, this bus is revolutionary in having a two stroke 4.1 litre engine, which can develop more power than a traditional Leyland 8.6 litre engine. The frontal appearance of the bus is also different – the radiator cowling and bonnet are carried over the nearside front wing.
