Thanet farmers kept the courts busy this week, with ongoing raids upon orchards by airmen stationed in Manston resulting in mechanic Stephen Cassidy being fined 43s. Frederick A. Chater, one half of a courting couple, was fined 5s for flattening corn belonging to George Griggs, farmer of Dumpton.
