Margate CID are seeking 5 Teddy Boys after an explosion in a pillar box in Godwin Road, Cliftonville. Residents heard the explosion at 2am which blew the heavy cast iron door 8 yards down the road. Little damage was done to the post. The device is believed to be an Army “thunder cracker” of the the type used during mock warfare manoeuvres.
