The train on the Sheppey Light Railway was replaced by a steam motor car, which is 56 feet in length, and is capable of travelling at a speed of 30 mph. The car, which is very comfortable, has accommodation for 50 passengers, and another 50 can be accommodated in the “trailer,” which will be stored at Queenborough, and will only be used when required. The motor was constructed at Ashford.
