Captain W. A. Gladwin and his wife, of East Peckham set out to visit friends in Yalding with their Yorkshire terrier, Snip, full of high spirits. Suddenly Snip showed intense fear at Yalding Lees, so severe, his owners returned home. Three days later they heard that the young son of their Yalding friends had died at Maidstone at the time that “Snip” was distressed.
