A small boy at Tankerton ran to the bathing supervisor, proudly proclaiming he had discovered a rhinocerous. Mr Poole, the supervisor, subsequently found the animal to be a three foot octopus, which nevertheless was a rare sight in Tankerton waters He later sent it to London Zoo.
