Police and the fire brigade in Dover, Hythe and Folkestone were alerted to a pilotless plane, which had launched itself at Lympne aerodrome as the throttle became stuck open while being attended to. After 35 minutes of some very near misses, it crashed near Hawkinge. No one was hurt.
