Margate magistrates upheld Frederick Osborn’s objection to his 19 yr old daughter’s marriage to a 27 yr old fairground assistant, by whom she was expecting a child. They stated ‘you can make a better choice’. Mr Osborn had objected on the grounds that he had been divorced and was a Jew.
