Speaking against the governors of Archers Court Secondary School in Dover, who want to keep the school co-educational, Alderman J. A. Tapping said “Co-education makes boys become effeminate and girls more bossy. This is probably one of the major causes of the breaking up of homes, and drives husbands to earlier graves.”
