A motor coach from Margate, containing 20 passengers, skidded and overturned on the London-Thanet road about two miles from Canterbury. The vehicle mounted the path, ripped a section wooden fence and, striking a telegraph pole, turned over on its side. Owing to the rain the hood had been raised, and the passengers were trapped under it. They were pulled out by passing motorists. One woman was badly bruised, and others complained of being shaken, but no one was seriously injured.
