Production is due to start at Folkestone on the estate car version of the new Bedford Viva Van, to be known as the Beagle, costing £619. Due to its very basic conversion, rear seat and windows, with no additional sound deadening or trim, the Beagle was a commercial failure, and only around 60 were sold.
