During the first three days of the week there was quite an exodus from Whitstable of folk young and old, off to that “Tom Tiddlers’ Ground” – the hop gardens. Prom the quantity of luggage carted out by the farm waggons, there must a record number gone out out to Boughton, Graveney, Hernhill, Selling, and neighbourhood. May they have fine weather and good hops.
