The inaugural run of the Ashford Motor Cycle and Light Car Club proved a most enjoyable affair. The president, Brigadier-General T. S. M. Pitt headed the thirty odd participants, who, starting from Stanhay’s, limited, Garage, proceeded to Charing, Faversham and Canterbury. where a halt was made and all the cars and cycles garaged at Messrs Barrett’s spacious garage. Ashford was reached at 6.30.
