Mr. Arthur Hobbs, of Deal, organiser of the recent women’s international football tournament, had a meeting with Mr. Walter Winterbottom, director of the Sports Council, to discuss the proposed formation of a Women’s Football Association of Great Britain. He became known as ‘Founding Father of Women’s Football’.
