A cow belonging to Mr. Marsh Pierson, of Ripney-hill Farm, near Sheerness, died recently. A post mortem examination showed that a lady’s hat pin, six inches in length, was embedded in the animal’s heart. It is supposed to have swallowed the pin while grazing on Ripney-hill Marshes.
