The Odeon cinema in Ashford closed with Oliver Reed in “The Four Musketeers”. It had opened in 1936, seating 1,102 in the stalls and 468 in the balcony. In 1976, it re-opened as a Top Rank Bingo Club which in later years has become a Mecca Bingo Club. Due to a decline in business, the bingo club closed in 2018, and the building purchased by Ashford Borough Council for possible redevelopment.
