A bus carrying Ramsgate miners to Chislet Colliery overturned on the main Ramsgate-Canterbury road, near Mount Pleasant, Minster, just before 6am. It had turned several somersaults and eventually came to rest with the wheels the air. Driver Mrs Ainsworth and several miners were injured.
