Archbishop of Canterbury Randall Davidson laid the final stone 250ft up at the top of the newly restored Bell Harry Tower at Canterbury Cathedral while the wind was blowing a gale. His wife, Mrs Edith Davidson then astounded onlookers as she climbed a small ladder to affix a weather vane on the pinnacle.
