The Mayor of Margate (Alderman W. J. Perkins) opened Kent’s first tropical aquarium at the Cliftonville Lido. The aquarium Is the result an idea first mooted as far back 1910. Tropical fish from all parts of the world are on view to the public, and another section accommodating a snake house in which will be varieties of vipers, lizards and other reptiles.
