goes to Herne Bay
Celebrating the life and times of my hometown.
Not a lot to show at present, but everything that's small has to grow!
A group of house sharing students in Canterbury put together a list of online menus for the takeaways in Canterbury. (You can find it here)
As I suspect Herne Bay has even more takeaways per capita than Canterbury, I decided to do the same for the coast.
Please note that the panoramas will open in new windows, so turn your pop-up blocker off!
Mortimer Street / William Street

have a look around the junction of William Street and Mortimer Street.
The latter is rapidly developing a charming cafe culture, which would have been unheard of a few years ago. Much credit due to the owners, but also Canterbury City Council for their regeneration programme.
The Seafront
Panorama of the old and the new in Herne Bay, and yet again, another tribute to Canterbury City Council in their regeneration of the area. There was even a man from Serco (with associated white van) tending to the gardens and threatening to ruin this shot! To have the pier obliterated by a Transit just wouldn't do!
